Best album is 'Kifak Inta' and best play is 'Lulu'.
There might alubms composed by Assi that are better than Kifak Inta from an artisitc point of view, but generally I can relate to the work done by Ziad with Fairouz more than that of Assi. Love in Ziad's songs is less classic, less ideal with a touch of sarcasm,a love that guys like me in their 20s relate to more today, with Kifak inta being my best song ever.
It's very courageous that Fairouz shifted from classics with Assi to modern with Ziad despite what many people think that she started to go down after Kifak inta. Personally I believe that Fairouz's work with Ziad will be given better credit in the years to come, just like 'kifak inta' that was trashed when it was first released but was given better credit later on.
Fairouz doesn't need to prove that she can sing Tarab or classic after doing that for 40 years and excelling. It would be really boring if she didn't make such a change.
