It really is true, seeing Fairuz live is an experience that can not be described. And you really have not heard her voice until you hear her live.. That is when you get the full effect of the power of her voice, the depth, the range, and what a consumate artist and performer she is. The notes she hits are so difficult yet she makes it seem so easy and effortless. People sometimes don't realize how difficult it is to sing her material and to give it that special touch that transports us to the heavens..
I invited a couple of friends (total Americans) to the concert and they were inspired. One is a record executive who later said "I have never experienced anything like this", and another is a friend who has heard Fairuz before (on CD) and after the concert said "Wow, I am a fan forever. She is spectacular. Heavenly. What presence. I know you told me this, but I never thought it would be true, seeing her live changes how you feel"...
It made me very happy to see so many Fairuz fans seeing her for the first time and I am glad FairuzOnline has been a part of that experience.
